Day 018 – Lived Curiosity in Conversations

Continuing with yesterday’s topic of being curious about other people’s worldviews, I’d like to share a link to another blog, in which the author and one of her oldest friends are engaged in an interesting experiment. Although they have grown apart in their political, religious, and cultural views, they are trying to maintain the relationship and use their differences as an opportunity to learn about how someone else sees the world, what is behind her worldviews. The language sometimes includes the self-conscious formulas of non-violent communication and the encounter groups of the 70s and 80s, and the posts are long, highlighting one of the difficulties of this kind of communication (it takes a significant investment of time), but it is a worthy effort and one possible way forward:
