Someone sent me the link to this story from the World Economic Forum website (of all places). It is about an author, Ann Morgan, who decided to read one book from each country on this planet within a year. (Quick calculation: at 196 countries and 52 weeks per year that makes about 4 books per week—every week.) She did this, and blogged about it, while she was working full time. Talk about curiosity lived! That was really making a major investment in broadening her perspective. She seems to have found it worthwhile, though, in terms of connections made and perspectives gained.
